Blinde Menschen haben kaum Möglichkeiten Bilder wahrzunehmen und sind, wenn es sich dabei um grafische Darstellungen handelt, in Lernprozessen benachteiligt. Besonders in Fernlernkursen bei denen es keine zusätzliche Lernunterstützung durch Tutoren und TrainerInnen gibt.
Dieses Projekt bietet eine innovative Methode, um grafische Darstellungen für Menschen mit Sehbehinderungen durch taktile Grafiken und integrierten akustischen Sprachdateien „sichtbar“ und wahrnehmbar zu machen.

People who are blind have no access to visual graphic images and are at a substantial disadvantage in the learning process, particularly when studying in a distance learning situation with no specialist support. This problem directly conflicts with the Lisbon Agenda requiring equality of access and inclusion for all in the learning process. This project will provide an innovative method of delivering visual graphics to people who are visually impaired by the way of touch and sound using tactile diagrams with integrated sound files.
