Day Centre for Mental Health in Europe: a comparison between the European standards

Description:
The aim of the project has been to identify in each partner country areas in community mental health service provision (such as education and employment opportunities) to research the current standard of service provided. The partner will compare the services currently provided in each partner country. A research report from each partner has been issued and presented in a European conference where other countries have been invited and encouraged to conduct their own research with the aim of contributing to the standardisation of such services across Europe. The aim is the identification of minimum and basic levels of service to act as a benchmark for all European countries when providing such services. The conference has given the opportunity to acquire better knowledge of the problems of mental health, organization of services and of users all over Europe

L’obiettivo del progetto è stato quello di individuare in ogni paese partner le aree dei servizi dei Centri di salute mentale (quale istruzione ed opportunità occupazionali) per ricercare gli standard correnti dei servizi forniti. I partner hanno messo a confronto i servizi offerti regolarmente in ciascun paese. La relazione elaborata da ciascun partner è stata presentata durante una Conferenza Europa alla quale hanno partecipato altri paesi europei per essere messi al corrente della ricerca e incoraggiati a fare delle indagini in proprio con lo scopo di contribuire ad uniformare i servizi in tutta Europa. Lo scopo del progetto è la identificazione di livelli minimi e di base dei servizi per creare uno modello a livello Europeo. La conferenza ha dato l’opportunità di acquisire una maggiore comprensione dei problemi della salute mentale, dell’organizzazione dei servizi e dei loro pazienti in tutta Europa
